"Graduating with a finance-related degree, I expected to step right into a rewarding career in the industry. But reality hit hard.
While my classmates were securing offers from big financial firms and hedge funds in March—months before graduation—I was left with nothing. No job lined up, no clear path forward. I sent out countless applications, only to receive rejection after rejection.
Out of necessity, I took a job as a server for a few days, making $20 an hour, wondering how I had spent years in college only to end up here. It wasn’t where I envisioned myself, but it was reality.
Then came an all-commission trading job—and that’s where everything changed.
It was sink or swim. No base salary, no guarantees—just me, the markets, and my ability to produce results. And I fell in love with it. The rush of analyzing trades, managing risk, and making real financial decisions lit a fire in me. But more than that, I discovered a passion for personal finance, educating others, and helping people navigate the financial world.
I realized that finance is not just about money—it’s about strategy, discipline, and understanding how to build wealth. It’s about knowing how to move within the industry, how to position yourself for success, and how to create opportunities when none seem available.
